Day Two

Activity one: Traditional Cake & Local Chips
The next day we woke up early, had breakfast and headed straight to the traditional and local cake and chips house. It was a good thing to see how something one eats is being processed. the cakes and chips have been selling for many years around the country.

The cakes were delicious. i thought it won't be nice, but when i took a bite i had to finish and add more.

Activity Two: Fishing
After we were done with the cake factory, we went home to eat and rest for a while. We came back to the pickup center, for fishing. Fishing is one of the major profession in the area. Some of us where really lucky as to have caught some fishes, while the rest of us were not so lucky. It was fun being seated at d edge of the pond with fishing rod waiting for a bite, but the fishes were really wise; they ate up the worm but managed not to get hooked.

Activity Three: Catching Fish with hands
After the fishing, we went to catch fish with our bare hands. It was fun watching my classmates go into the mud with full and high spirits. I didn't go in though, it was fun but too messy. I can remember I did that when i was a kid, but not anymore.

Activity Four: Eating the Traditional Meal (Nasi Ambang)
We fished until sunset and then the Nasi Ambang (The Tg. Karang traditional meal) was prepared for us. We washed our hands and ate the food. It was really nice and the second best local food I have eaten since i came to Malaysia.

Activity Five: Traditional Dance(Kuda Kepang)
After we ate, we all went back to our various foster homes for refreshing. At around 9pm we all went to one of the foster houses for a Tg. Karang, traditional dance performance of kuda kepang. It was very interesting and fun. Some of the students' practiced the performance with the dancers.
